Celebrating 20 Years of Made4net: From Bold Idea to Global Leader in Supply Chain Execution

In the early 2000s, three tech pros working in the supply chain space saw a problem—and an opportunity. Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) were too hard to implement, too expensive to maintain, and far too rigid to keep up with evolving business needs. What should have been a tool for efficiency was instead a roadblock to progress.

So, they set out to build something better.

In 2005, Made4net was born with a bold mission: to deliver an agile, configurable, and scalable supply chain execution platform—with a powerful WMS at its core—that didn’t require years of customization or a seven-figure budget to make work.

The First Step: Serving 3PLs

The company’s first customer was a third-party logistics (3PL) provider, a fitting choice given the flexibility and responsiveness required to succeed in that space. From the start, Made4net’s technology focused on adaptability—helping customers solve real-world logistics problems with speed and precision.

Going Global

By 2009, Made4net had established a strong presence in the United States. Just one year later, the company officially became a global player, eventually expanding into Panama, China, the Czech Republic, and the UK. While the company footprint grew, the core values stayed the same: service-first, people-focused, and obsessed with customer success.

Industry Recognition and Strategic Growth

In 2015, Made4net earned its first placement on the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Warehouse Management Systems—a major milestone and a clear signal to the industry that this wasn’t just a niche vendor, but a serious player with momentum.

In 2020, that momentum accelerated when Made4net received a strategic growth investment from Thompson Street Capital Partners. Two years later, the company acquired Zethcon, a fellow WMS provider known for its strong 3PL expertise. The move deepened Made4net’s capabilities and brought new talent into the fold.

Powering the World’s Largest Retailer

Then came 2023—the year Made4net joined forces with Ingka Group, the largest IKEA retailer, becoming the core fulfillment platform for one of the world’s most beloved and complex retail operations. The announcement made waves in the industry and reinforced Made4net’s reputation for delivering scalable, enterprise-ready technology.

A Milestone Worth Celebrating

Now, in 2025, Made4net proudly celebrates 20 years of innovation, growth, and impact. From humble beginnings to powering supply chains around the world, the journey has been nothing short of remarkable.

Through it all, one thing has never changed: Made4net’s people-first philosophy. Whether it’s the original founders who dared to build a different kind of WMS, the global team that works tirelessly to support customers, or the clients and partners who have put their trust in the platform, this anniversary is about everyone who’s been part of the journey.

Here’s to two decades of delivering supply chain success—and to the exciting chapters still to come.
