Hackensack, N.J. September 18, 2019. Made4net, a global leader in WMS (warehouse management system) and supply chain execution software, announced today that BG Products Inc., a market leader for top quality automotive maintenance products, has selected its warehouse management system to drive its new distribution center in El Dorado, KS.
As part of the overall strategic plan for continued growth, BG partnered with LeanCor, a leading supply chain consulting provider, to provide a full warehouse design, lead a WMS selection, and ensure their new distribution center adopts and leverages best practices to support growth and supply chain needs.
BG plans to utilize the Made4net WMS to gain end-to-end supply chain transparency and satisfy increasing vendor compliance requirements. The basic capabilities of the existing systems, were no longer a good fit to support the new distribution center and BG’s vision to have visibility of inventory, not only when the product enters the warehouse, but way before when it exists the production line at the manufacturing plant.
Critical functionality requirements included the ability to manage multiple facilities, pick large orders with multiple pickers simultaneously, and drive replenishment in real time, which was a constraint in achieving timely fulfilment, to name a few.
