Purpose of the Job:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EDI Analyst with hands-on experience in Third-Party Logistics (3PL) environments and proficiency in API, JSON, and XML technologies. In this role, you will manage, optimize, and troubleshoot EDI systems, ensuring seamless data exchanges between internal business systems and external partners (suppliers, customers, 3PL providers). The ideal candidate will be a technical expert with experience working in logistics and supply chain operations, capable of integrating EDI transactions using both traditional EDI standards and modern technologies like APIs and data formats such as JSON and XML.

Description of responsibilities:

• EDI Management:
  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of EDI systems to facilitate the seamless exchange of business documents, including purchase orders, invoices, ASNs, and inventory updates.
  • Develop, map, and maintain EDI transactions, ensuring smooth integration between internal ERP, WMS, TMS, and external partner systems.
  • Work with 3PL providers to ensure successful integration and automation of EDI processes related to warehousing, shipping, and inventory management.
• API Integration:
  • Design and implement API-based integrations to complement or replace traditional EDI systems where appropriate, ensuring real-time data exchange between internal systems and external partners.
  • Manage the integration of APIs with 3PL providers, ensuring they work seamlessly with the company’s existing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API data exchange, ensuring that API calls are successful and data is transmitted accurately.
• Data Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
  • Continuously monitor EDI and API transaction logs to identify and resolve discrepancies, delays, or data quality issues.
  • Work closely with IT and internal teams to investigate and fix data flow issues across EDI, and API, systems.
  • Implement error-handling protocols for both EDI and API exchanges, ensuring data consistency and system reliability.
• Collaboration & Support:
  • Work cross-functionally with IT, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless EDI and API processes.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to internal teams to ensure proper use of EDI, API, and data integration tools.
  • Act as a liaison between vendors, clients, and 3PL providers to ensure successful onboarding of new EDI or API integrations.

Required Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an EDI Analyst, with at least 1 year of experience in a 3PL logistics environment.
  • Strong experience with EDI standards, including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and others.
  • Hands-on experience with API integrations (REST, SOAP) and knowledge of JSON and XML data structures and schemas.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain operations and logistics, particularly in a 3PL environment.
• Skills:
  • Expertise in 3PL transaction sets and experience with API protocols (REST, SOAP).
  • Proficient in JSON and XML data formats for integration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with EDI, API, and integration tools (e.g., IBM Sterling, SAP, MuleSoft, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Experience with database management and basic scripting (SQL, Python) is a plus.

Pay range:  $75,000.00 – $90,000.00, yearly salary

This position offers a competitive salary package that is commensurate with your years of experience in the field and the specific skills you bring to the role.
